Course Synopsis: This course is designed as the “capstone” class for prospective UNLV Online EMT-Basic students. Students should come to this training session ready to work in an EMT environment by performing medical skills and by demonstrating the knowledge and ability to act as an Emergency Medical Technician in the field setting.
Course Objectives: This course will prepare each student for the application of EMT field skills and for National Registry EMT testing.
Audience: Applicants for this course MUST be currently enrolled in the UNLV Online EMT-B course. This is not an open enrollment course.
Prerequisites: Must have successfully completed the UNLV Online EMT-B program
Required Equipment: Stethoscope, Blood Pressure Cuff. Please read dress code requirements in student handbook. These items will be available for purchase at the Boot Camp site.
Certification: Successful completion of this program, along with the ONLINE UNLV portion of the course may enable students to take the National Registry EMT test for certification.
