Intermediate TAC-MED

Note: The “Intermediate Tac-Med” (ITM) has the exact same medical curriculum as the “Advanced TAC-MED" (ATM) course. The firearms and ground tactics portions is geared for students who wish to develop a higher degree of tactical experience.

ATM attendees are expected to come completely proficient in advanced weapons handing techniques, ground tactics and TCCC concepts. NON-SOCOM medics, nurses, physicians, etc. are not allowed to attend the ATM without specific approval from the JTM training director. Any current medical professional with “tactical” experience is allowed to attend the Intermediate TAC-MED (ITM) program.

Course Synopsis: Designed for current medical professionals with limited “tactical” backgrounds, this course has four main goals:

1. Instruct proven tactical & medical skills required of the tactical EMS providers
2. Achieve ALL required CME’s & certifications required of Nat’l Registry of EMT’s
3. Team Building and Inter-Service Operability
4. Teach advanced firearm skills and ground tactics in regards to military medicine

Course Objectives: Upon completion each student will achieve ALL required CME’s & certifications required of National Registry of EMT’s.

Audience: N/A

Prerequisites: This school is PHYSICALLY DEMANDING! Prospective applicants will be expected to lift heavy objects, function in confined spaces, and be required to shoot/move/communicate under stressful conditions. Each student is expected to be FAMILIAR in safe handling and shooting with a semi-automatic pistol and M16/M4 type rifle. Students must also be physically capable of quickly and safely assuming standing, kneeling, and prone positions, maintaining them for a period of time, in adverse conditions, and recovering without assistance.

Certification: BLS/CPR-HCP, ACLS, PHTLS, PALS

Course Length: 12 Days

Tuition Cost: $2500 plus ammunition requirements

Minimum capacity seating: 10 Course Participants

Maximum capacity seating: 24 Course Participants
