Course Synopsis: This course is the required course for the EMT seeking to recertify. The course is based on the Department of Transportation's (DOT) 1994 EMT-Intermediate curriculum.
Course Objectives: This course is a minimum of 36 hours in length and consists of lecture and practical sessions. The material covered in this course is divided into 7 modules. They are as follows: Preparatory, Airway Management, Patient Assessment, Medical Emergencies, Trauma Emergencies, Infants and Children and Operations. This course satisfies the core continuing education requirements for National Registry recertification.

Certification: Course completion certificate (36 Additional hours of Continuing Medical Education (CME) per NREMT standards are required to fully complete the recertification process).
